  • Carly Kind

    Privacy Commissioner

    Carly Kind commenced as Australia’s Privacy Commissioner in February 2024 for a 5-year term.

    As Privacy Commissioner, she regulates the handling of personal information by entities covered by the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and seeks to influence the development of legislation and advance privacy protections for Australians.

    Ms Kind joined from the UK-based Ada Lovelace Institute, where she was the inaugural director. As a human rights lawyer and leading authority on the intersection of technology policy and human rights, she has advised industry, government and non-profit organisations on digital rights, artificial intelligence, privacy and data protection, and corporate accountability in the technology sphere.

  • Harald Schneider

    Chief Data & Analytics Officer, Equifax

    Harald Schneider is Chief Data & Analytics Officer at Equifax. Schneider is responsible for global data innovation, maximizing the benefits of Equifax differentiated data assets, leading analytics capabilities and using data fabric within the Equifax CloudTM to drive new products and growth.

    Harald joined Equifax from Visa, where he served as the Global Head of Data Products, serving customers and partners with web-based and API Data Products to drive customer engagement, fraud strategies, marketing optimization, and underwriting strategies.

    Harald holds a master’s degree in finance from J.W. Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business.

  • Nicole Livingstone OAM

    Olympian and CEO of Victorian Institute of Sport

    Nicole is CEO of AFL Women's Football and also hosts sports segments for Channel Ten as well as having regular guest appearances on The Project.

    Alongside sister Karen Livingstone, Nicole established Ovarian Cancer Australia after their mother passed away from the disease.

    Furthermore, Nicole’s business interests revolve around sport and health as she fulfils various director and board roles. These include being a board member of Swimming Australia, the Australian Olympic Committee, Sport Australia Hall of Fame, as well as being the Deputy Chair of VicHealth.

    In December of 2017, Nicole was appointed as CEO of Women’s Football (AFLW), the first woman in charge of the sport. With a resume boasting passion, experience and class, Nicole will look to continue the growth of the ever-growing AFLW.

  • Jackie Keogh

    Independent Chair of the Interim Working Group (IWG)

    Jacqueline (Jackie) is the independent Chair of the Interim Working Group, an industry construct created to respond to the FCA market study on the Credit Information industry. The IWG is responsible for the issuance of a set of recommendations to design, implement and operate a new Credit Reporting Governance Body. Jackie is also a non-executive board member at UK Export Finance, the UK government’s export credit agency.

    Jackie leverages her 35+ years financial industry experience spanning government, regulator, banks, network provider and payment institution to provide trusted advice, challenge and direction. Her career has spanned NatWest Bank, SWIFT, Standard Chartered Bank, Lloyds Banking Group, Western Union and Financial Conduct Authority.

  • Natalie Cameron

    AFCA Lead Ombudsman Banking & Finance

    Ms Cameron began her career at Clayton Utz, where she completed her articles and became a solicitor focusing on insurance and litigation. She then worked with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) focusing on regulatory policy and markets.

    In 2005, Ms Cameron moved into industry, where she operated as the General Counsel and Company Secretary for AIA Australia. As a member of the executive committee, she was responsible for all litigation, disputes and complaints resolution. Ms Cameron’s time at AIA Australia also spanned roles managing operations, pricing, distributor relationships and product. She later became CEO of AIA New Zealand. A later role as COO of MLC Life in Australia saw her manage a team of over 800 people across claims, customer service and other areas.

    Ms Cameron joined AFCA in June 2020, initially as Lead Ombudsman of Investments & Advice. Following 6 months acting in the role, Natalie was appointed Lead Ombudsman, Banking & Finance, in July 2022.

  • Michelle Kumarich

    AFCA Executive General Manager, Jurisdiction

    Michelle Kumarich has more than 15 years experience in alternative dispute resolution with extensive experience leading many varied operational teams including jurisdictional assessment, investigation, legal, conciliation and policy. In her current role, she oversees AFCA’s systemic issues identification and reporting to financial services regulators as well as ensuring that AFCA operates within its jurisdiction. She has experience and regularly leads leading transformation programs across whole of organisation.

    Prior to joining AFCA’s predecessor schemes BFSO/FOS, Michelle worked as in house counsel at a number of big 4 banks. Having practiced law for more than 20 years with a background in litigation, Michelle started her career as a lawyer at Clayton Utz. She has experience in insolvency and general commercial litigation having appeared in Supreme Court, Federal Court and High Court matters.

    Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Monash University and is a trained mediator.

  • Brian Bond

    Senior Vice President of Experian North America's Business Information division

    Brian Bond is the Senior Vice President of Experian North America's Business Information division, overseeing product, data science, consulting and strategy functions. This team analyses market trends and client feedback to create innovative solutions for clients and the businesses they serve. Brian also helps shape Experian's global strategy in this area.

    Before joining Experian in 2017, Brian had over 20 years of experience in marketing and product roles at tech firms such as Nav, Teem (WeWork), ExpertVoice, HP and Ancestry. Notable achievements include collaborating with Amazon on Alexa for Work, developing WeWork's AI-driven workspace platform and HP’s small business product suite. He has also supported tech start-ups in business strategy and acquisitions.

    Brian has taught as a professor and guest lecturer at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah.

  • James O'Donnell

    Managing Director, Open Analytics

    James is a credit risk specialist with extensive knowledge in the areas of credit policy design, decision automation, predictive modelling and machine learning applied to credit risk management and other business applications. He was the designer of the CreditorWatch Business Risk Index.

    As a co-founder of Open Analytics and through his experience leading big-4 banks’ credit analytics teams, James has supported a wide range of creditors of all shapes and sizes to optimise risk-reward outcomes throughout the credit lifecycle.

  • Diana Mousina

    Deputy Chief Economist, AMP

    Diana joined AMP in 2016 within the AMP Investments team. Diana’s responsibilities include providing global economic and macro investment analysis to retail, institutional and internal customers through her regular “Econosights” reports and presentations. Diana regularly presents AMP’s macro views across various media outlets including ABC, SBS, Bloomberg, CNBC, AusBiz and mainstream Australian television networks and radio stations. Diana also contributes to the asset allocation decisions of the AMP multi-asset funds.

    Previously, Diana worked at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia as an economist in the Institutional Banking & Markets division. Diana holds a Bachelor of Commerce/Economics and has a Master of Finance (in funds management), both from the University of New South Wales.

  • Evelyn Halls OAM

    Customer Fairness Advisor, ANZ

    Evelyn was appointed as ANZ’s Customer Fairness Advisor in March 2022, reporting to CEO Shayne Elliott. Evelyn has senior executive responsibility to guide and inform ANZ’s decision making on the fairness of the bank’s products and services for retail and small business customers.

    Prior to joining ANZ, Evelyn was the Lead Ombudsman – Banking and Finance at the Australian Financial Complaints Authority. She was previously a partner in the Corporate group at international law firm Herbert Smith Freehills where she advised clients on a range of corporate transactions and governance matters.

    Evelyn holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne. She is a graduate of the AICD Company Directors Course.

    Ceo, Way Forward

    Fiona Guthrie has been the CEO of Way Forward Debt Solutions since February 2024 and was previously a member of its Board. Prior to joining Way Forward she was the CEO of Financial Counselling Australia for 15 years.

    Way Forward is a debt relief charity that puts in place affordable payment plans for people experiencing long term hardship.

    Fiona is currently a member of ASIC’s Consultative Panel and is on the boards of Choice and the Queensland Competition Authority. She has a B.A., LL.B and M.B.A.

    She was a recipient of an Order of Australia in 2017 for significant service to the community through social welfare and financial counselling roles.

    Andrew is currently Chief Risk Officer of Banjo Loans, a Fintech that provides a range of unsecured/secured business loans and asset finance solutions to enable Australian SME’s to grow their business.

    Andrew is an experienced banking and financial services executive who commenced his career in professional services (Audit & Corporate Finance) before moving into financial services with NAB. He has held numerous business development, strategy, and risk management roles leading large credit risk management teams across both business and consumer lending.

    Andrew is a Chartered Accountant, and holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting, a Masters of Applied Finance and a diploma in Executive Coaching.

    Meurig Chapman

    Founder, HappyPrime (NZ)

    Meurig is the founder of Happy Prime. Throughout his 20+ year career as a credit risk management and data analytics specialist, he has worked in various credit risk roles within banks and financial services companies, including technical and strategic roles, executive leadership positions, and chairmanships. He is an experienced quantitative analyst, skilled in Basel II capital modelling as well as stress testing, forecasting and IFRS 9 solutions. A recognised subject matter expert in risk, Meurig has championed innovation, transparency and competition within the financial services industry, comprehensive credit reporting and responsible lending initiatives within Australasia and is a leading driver of open banking in New Zealand. 

  • Sharanjit Paddam

    Principal – Climate Analytics, Finity

    Sharanjit is an actuary with 30 years’ experience. He is a leading expert on climate change, was awarded Insurance Leader of the Year 2022 by ANZIIF, Actuary of the Year 2023 by the Actuaries Institute, Risk Manager of the Year by the Climate Alliance in 2020, and is a TEDxSydney speaker. He co-leads Finity’s perils & climate practice and advises insurers, banks, investors and governments on climate risk assessment, management, strategy and reporting. In 2022, 2023 and 2024 he co-authored reports for the Actuaries Institute on Home Insurance Affordability and Home Loans at Risk.

  • Catherine Fitzpatrick

    Catherine Fitzpatrick is a social entrepreneur on a mission to disrupt financial abuse and gender bias through better product and service design. A former bank executive, Catherine has pioneered the adoption of safety by design in the finance sector to improve protection and support for victim-survivors. Her #respectandprotect campaign has catalysed businesses representing more than 15 million customers across the finance, telecommunications, water, education and technology sectors to ban the misuse of their products and services for financial abuse. Named an AFR|Qantas Woman of Influence in 2018, she is Adjunct Associate Professor UNSW School of Social Sciences and an expert adviser to the Australian and NSW governments and International Finance Corporation.

This team is responsible for industry monitoring and engagement, thematic reviews, consideration of applications for regulatory relief and support to regulatory reform activities. Robert has over twenty years of experience in consumer credit regulation.

    Dan is passionate about financial inclusion and equality, and how the new research areas of Behavioural Science can move the needle for Australians to promote better financial outcomes.

    Dan’s experience comes from working at the full lifecycle of lending starting his career at Bankwest and NAB, then as a founder of SwitchMyLoan which was acquired by Pioneer Credit (ASX:PNC) in 2016, before embarking on founding WeMoney in 2020.

    Dan holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Property and Finance from Curtin University, an MBA from University of Western Australia, where he did part of his MBA at Harvard University studying Behavioural Economics.

Gordon has played a key role in product strategy and product development within three international software organisations, driving new capabilities from inception to commercialisation.
